Nationwide Container Transport

Below are the modes of transport Space-Pods Ltd use to deliver and position different containers - full or empty.

Lorry Mounted Cranes

  • HiAbs deliver and position empty containers (some with lightweight goods) as well as cabins. The large HiAbs can double-stack, reach over walls and can lift containers as far as 11 metres, making deliveries to sites flexible. Please note though, they cannot lift near power cables, under trees, etc. Also make sure we know about truck access to your site.
  • Heavy Lift Sideloaders - Specialist trucks designed to lift and carry fully laden containers from one loading point to an other. They only lift off to one side and are not as manoeuvrable as single lifting points on Lorry Mounted Cranes. These vehicles can, however, lift and carry around 21 tonnes of container and cargo without the need of a mobile crane. Ideal for project cargo, factory or international home-moving.

Skeletal Trailers

  • This is the 'normal chassis' on which containers are carried. If you need your container removed from the chassis and placed onsite or on the ground for loading, a separate crane operation is required. Skeletal trailers are used to provide cheap transport, usually from the docks to a loading point and vice versa.
